What Is a Comprehensive Oral Health Assessment Visit?

A comprehensive oral health assessment is detailed evaluation of your teeth, gums, and oral tissues.  The goal is to understand your current oral health and identify potential concerns early so appropriate preventive care or referral to a dentist can be recommended.

During the visit, Sherly may:

• Review your medical and dental history
• Examine your teeth and gums for signs of inflammation or periodontal concerns
• Observe areas of inflammation, irritation, or possible infection.
• Screen the mouth and soft tissues for abnormalities
• Evaluate plaque buildup and overall oral hygiene
• Take digital X-rays when appropriate for further evaluation 

This assessment helps Sherly develop a personalized dental hygiene care plan and determine whether preventive care, periodontal therapy, or referral to a dentist may be recommended.
